Can microphone be directly attached to DVR. 2. Why does it need to be connected to camera? 3. A you sell an iutdoir mic.

Good Afternoon. You would need to attach the microphone to your camera and then connect the white RCA connector to an Audio Input port on the rear of your DVR. 2. Hello,         How do I get the audio to record to my dvr from this microphone? I can hear the sound but it is not playing back the audio when I play back the video

Ensure that you are detecting audio for the correct channel. Make sure the Video Input # matches the Audio Input #. Next, make sure that audio is not muted for that channel. Although this microphone is for indoor use is there any reason it can't be used in a protected area outside. Such as under the roof of a porch or the eve of a house?
