Introducing Night Owl’s 5MP (Megapixel) Wired Security System with Human Detection Technology and Motion-Activated Spotlights. At 5MP, you capture recordings with clarity and precision. There are absolutely no fees for storing your recordings. Simply keep everything on the pre-installed 2TB hard drive. Human Detection Technology uses advanced algorithms to detect human motion, thereby reducing false alerts to your Smart Device and saving hard drive space. A built-in motion-activated spotlight activates anytime one of the 5MP HD Wired home cameras senses human motion, adding an extra layer of security to your world. Facial Capture and Recognition Technology captures a person’s face from upto 10 ft. away from the camera, scans the system’s database for a match, and sends a Familiar or Unfamiliar Face alert to your Smart Device. The weather-resistant indoor/outdoor home security cameras generate 2.5 times more pixels than standard 1080p video resolution. 5MP HD Wired Spotlight Cameras

See intricate details with clarity and precision with these 5MP (Megapixel) (2560 pixels x 1944 pixels) home security cameras. Human motion triggers a bright built-in motion-activated LED spotlight on these wired cameras which wards off trespassers. Human Detection Technology reduces false alerts to your Smart Device, which keeps you apprised of meaningful threats and saves hard drive space. Facial Capture and Recognition Technology

These home security cameras capture a person’s face from up to 10 ft. away and send Familiar and Unfamiliar alerts to your Smart Device. An internal database lets you put a name to the face. Familiar Face Alerts add names to faces you trust, such as family members, friends, and delivery people. Unfamiliar Face Alerts keep you in the know when a stranger is on your property. I have an older system: X100 Series 8-Channel 960H Surveillance System with 1TB HDD and (8) Hi-Resolution 900 TVL Cameras. Model # 205469084 Can I upgrade without replacing all the cables?

Unfortunately, under that scenario, no. These new 5MP cameras need a higher grade of cable to accommodate the increased resolution and advanced motion detection features. While you would definitely be able to use your existing cameras with this new DVR, the new cameras would require the new cabling. Thank you!

As these cameras are equipped with a built-in motion-activated spotlight, that feature will not work with your current setup. Yes, the spotlight can be disabled for one or more cameras if desired. This can be done at the DVR/NVR level or remotely via the App. This may come in handy for cameras that are installed inside the home, or during special events where you anticipate a lot of camera activity. How many days does a 2T Hard drive will it record and save ?

It depends on your product setup. By default, this system is set to record only when human motion is detected. How quickly the hard drive fills up would depend on where you have the cameras installed, how much traffic they encounter, how many cameras you setup, and your camera's resolution and recording settings. 5MP 1TB How much recording time does this have? with 16 cameras?

By default, the cameras are set to motion record. Whenever human motion is detected a recording will be generated and stored to the hard drive. How long it takes the hard drive to fill up depends on how much motion the cameras detect and what resolution they are set for. With moderate levels of motion, you will probably be looking at 2 to 3 weeks with 16 cameras. Thank you!

can I use 200 feet of wire with this camera

You can go up to 240 ft. from the DVR using BNC cabling. If you go further than that, you will need to purchase one of our video baluns and use a single Ethernet cable run. When going over 60 ft., you may need to purchase a separate camera power adapter for the extended camera. The DVR does not power the cameras. Can the spotlights be disabled?

Yes, the spotlight on each camera can be turned off. You can also change the amount of time the spotlight will be on/active when manually turned on from the light menu. The maximum delay time is 5 minutes or 300 seconds. The minimum delay time is 5 seconds. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

I own a PEDvr8 can I use the same wiring for this unit? Also I see this unit has two audio inputs, does that mean that the DVR is audio capable and do you have wired audio cameras that are compatible with this unit?
