Wire Free Security Solution

The Night Owl® Wire Free Smart Security System features battery-operated cameras for secure recording and easy connection. The independent, secure wireless network provides real closed-circuit video security (CCTV) with uninterrupted viewing and recording.

How much activity your cameras detect affects the battery life. The cameras require 2 batteries to function but can hold up to 4. Unlike other brands whose batteries have a 60-day charge, 2 Night Owl batteries will provide up to 6-months of battery life and 4 batteries will provide up to 1-year of battery life. This keeps the number of times you will need to recharge the batteries to a minimum. If your system’s batteries are running low, you'll get an app alert right away.

The wire free cameras are easy to mount and can be moved anywhere — no need to run wires or install near existing wiring systems. With indoor/outdoor functionality and flexible placement, these cameras offer security anywhere you need it.

 

 

Hassle-Free Charging Options

Keeping your wire free cameras charged has never been easier. Each camera comes with 2 rechargeable batteries but can hold 4 total batteries giving you up to 1-year of battery life. Additional batteries can be purchased on the Night Owl website. Unlike other brands, you don’t have to uninstall the camera to recharge it. There are 2 easy ways to recharge your batteries:

1 – Never miss a beat! Easily swap out the batteries, while the camera stays mounted. Charge the dead batteries using the Night Owl Charger (sold separately - coming soon!).

2 – Still no need to uninstall the camera. Leave it mounted and press the cartridge release button. Once removed, simply connect it to a USB charger using the provided USB cable.

 

 

Free Local Storage with 1TB Hard Drive

Unlike other brands, this wire free system includes a pre-installed 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) which provides extensive local storage for your recordings — with no monthly fees. It can hold up to 6 months of video and important recordings can easily be transferred to a flash drive or external HDD for long-term storage.

The recordings are easy to access. You can playback video locally from a TV/monitor or remotely on our free mobile app at absolutely no charge to you.

 

 

Advanced Motion Detection

Stop trespassers in their tracks with advanced motion detection technology. The Night Owl® Wire Free Smart Security System offers bright white spotlight cameras that activate when motion is detected.

The security system uses passive infrared sensor (PIR) technology to automatically detect both heat and motion, minimizing up to 90% of false alerts. The moment the system detects heat and motion in your selected zone, you’ll receive an alert on your smartphone or tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eyes In The Sky This is EXACTLY what we needed. I was avoiding security systems because I didn't want to deal with cumbersome materials and then extra expense on a contract. This eliminates both of those. Set up is fast and easy. They offer what seems like great customer service, but didn't need it. The instructions are intuitive and it was pretty quick. The picture quality is excellent. I am using this as a surround view for the home as I have a video doorbell already. Features are easy to tune and I am thrilled it all lives on the mega hard drive. It's easily worth the price and I am not sure I have seen any near as good.

This was a little complicated to set up but I followed the directions and watched a few videos and figured it out. But very worth it!! I love the sensor light that it has on the camera! I love how they are water proof because we get alot of snow and rain here. It works great at night to very clear videos! Definitely worth every penny! On top of that you don't have to pay for a subscription every month! The cameras are very good quality and durable. It comes with batteries that are rechargeable to! I also got some stickers to put up letting people know I have a security system now! Overall AWESOME security camera!!!

Over all I'm pleased with how well this wireless system works, I was worried that with a brick home it would have problems getting signals to the base unit but so far its picking up a clean feed 80 to 90 feet away through brick. The only reason i give it 4 star and not 5 is software for cms connect partially working, I get a clean live feed but playback of an event does not work. I have latest versions of android and cms software reinstalled and checked all settings still only plays back events some of the time so mabey they will keep working on software development. Playback on base unit works without problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of Great Features The Night Owl 1080p Wi-Fi smart security system arrived with easy to follow hookup and installation instructions and with all parts accounted for. We mounted 2 of the cameras on the outside of the house and 2 on a large shed outside. The cameras video is very clear and the spotlights work nicely. We already have captured a video of several deer in the backyard and a bear drinking out of our hummingbird feeder. I really like the two way audio feature especially for the camera by the front door. It’s also nice to know if I want to expand I have an additional 6 channels I can use with a 1TB hard drive. I’m so happy with this system and the security it has brought my family!

I have been wanting a system that was with in a specific price range and never really looked at Walmart untill Saturday. I seen these and bought them. I love how now I can view from my phone or off my TV in my bed room. Live 24/7 feed no matter where I am. Along with now I can catch who ever stole my stuff. Wish I would have found these before my rim and tire was stolen. Will be buying 5 more to finish up the 8 channel. They have a customer for life now.

I found this system very easy to hook up and get going without any issues. The system comes with everything needed except a monitor and router. I hooked it up to our living room television and had it up and running in no time at all. All the cameras use batteries, which are included and are rechargeable. The cameras are triggered when anything passes in its view. The spotlight comes on and it begins recording video. I love this system does not have a monthly subscription so that is definitely awesome. It says it is compatible with camera doorbells and can have more cameras added. This is a perfect security system for anyone just getting their first one or those that are looking for a new one with high quality at a great value. I would definitely recommend this Night Owl product to anyone.

Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional system without the crazy price I've been pricing home security systems for a while and have been shocked by the quotes I have been given by local companies. After some research I decided to try this system. What really attracted me to this model is that it is completely wireless. This saved me from having to pay an electrician to do extra wiring and allowed me more freedom to where I could place the cameras. The set up was simple, I had everything operational in a little over an hour. The picture is crystal clear and the camera itself is very responsive. I am planning on ordering a set to install at my mother in laws home.

Is it water proof?

Night Owl's cameras are intended for indoor and outdoor use. When installing the cameras outside, we recommend placing them under some type of minimal protection such as an eave or awning. The cameras are weather-resistant, not waterproof (meaning they cannot be submerged underwater). If they are overexposed to the elements it will reduce their lifespan. For your product's weather-resistant rating and operating temperature range, please check your product's specifications on the packaging or the product page at NightOwlSP.com. When the hard drive is full do you have to manually delete it or will it start to record over oldest recording in continuous loop?

By default, our DVR/NVRs are set to auto-overwrite when the HDD becomes full. This means the system will start recording over older footage to accommodate new recordings. You can deselect this option from within the Main Menu. Note, without this option selected, your product will stop recording when the HDD becomes full. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
